A day before docking at a island. I place a complimentary room service for the morning of, of a deli meat sandwich with condiments and juices. I bring sandwich bags with me and a to go mug if I didn’t purchase a drink package and I make my lunch for my day out on land. I bring me a lightweight packable backpack for my food, light jacket if needed and a beach towel if needed to keep my hands free and don’t take up space when not in use.

I'm a firm believer in the magnets. Dollar Tree sells some really good ones with clips attached. Even better for holding up bathing suits is their over the door hanger. It easily slips over the doors to the closet or cabinetry and has two tines that stick out. Ask the stateroom attendant for some extra hangers and you have a heavy duty holder for hats, bathing suits, etc.

Great tips! I plan to get magnetic hooks, check in early, do my muster drill quick, grab cups for ice cream, of course carry on our bathing suits, take advantage of a port day, and reprice my cruise…ty so much for the tips!

Good tip about checking your cruise price before final payment. For our January 2022 cruise on Adventure of the Seas, I checked the price every time Royal Caribbean sent an email about the current offer. We were able to upgrade to a 2 bedroom suite and still pay $200 less than the Grand Suite we had booked originally.

I did the coolest thing on my Spectrum cruise from Shanghai to Fukuoka shortly after it launched in 2019. I got off the ship for about a half hour in Fukuoka then got back on and had the whole ship to myself. It seemed like every single one of the 5600 passengers got off, so I decided to tour the ship. One thing I'd seen was that every stairway landing on both ends of the ship had beautiful artwork on the wall - very large scale pieces - and it seemed nobody ever stopped to look at them. So I methodically walked up every stairway, stopping at every landing to admire the artwork. Then I did the same along the walls on the main decks. That actually took a couple of hours. Finally, I went up to the pool deck and noticed that the main pools and hot tubs were closed. So I told one of the crew I was really looking forward to some time in the hot tub, thinking he'd open one up for me. But he said, "Follow me" and led me to the exclusive Solarium, unlocked the magic door, and told me to play to my heart's content. I had the entire Solarium to myself. It was heavenly.

Currently, everyone on a RC ship, should take advantage of the “free play” at the casino on day 1 or 2 only. It expires after day 2. This free play is for slots and is randomly chosen for amounts from$2 to $100.

Cruise hack to get your checked bags sooner: While at the port, give the bag(s) to the porter and tell him/her that you have alcohol in your luggage (even if you dont) .They will hand carry your bag past the metal detectors. There are a lot bags to be screened, so this way your bag skips the screening process and gets delivered faster...

ending my highschool year on March 2022, just looked up Spectrum of The Seas that will be available in Singapore soon . Will gonna find a work after school and gonna book a cruise with a friend . I am really excited 😁😆
