A guy in Albany Western Australia has done the 1.2jz in a JZA70 making around 700 about 5 years ago. What a cool set up it is.

Good to see some different options instead of the standard 2J, cool to see some hodge podge use of factory parts to make good power

Awesome work lads! Still so excited to actually have it functioning and a good proof of concept it will work. Time to enjoy it and come back one day with all the goods! 💜

cool concept brought to life. Definitely keen to hear it singing at 10k rpm!

Great to see some experimental engine tuning. Now its time for them to have some fun before forging her and seeing where the real fun sits on the tacko ;-)

The only other time I've seen this done was with Aaron at drift motion. Nice video. I enjoyed it.

Interesting stuff about about the GE head. Now I can sound smart and rub my stolen knowledge of it in other people's faces. Thanks. 😌
Oh and like the car, too. Would be nice to see it come back with some proper internals. 😁

Boost at that high of an rpm seems good shouldn’t have much lost upon changing gears

He was correct about a GE flow in the exhaust port but GTE intake ports still flow better, not by a huge margin but better

awesome, i always wondered if this combination had any draw backs besides the power band change, maybe a 264 cam and a smaller back housing would bring power in earlier. i was hyped when aaron from driftmotion did it but wasnt sure what the results were

What head gasket size did you use? To get squish to oem as possible would be to use 2jzge headgasket. I am building one also currently need a headgasket option and best calculation i have found would be a thicker 2jzge one. Not a gte version as that's too thick

Any modifications to the GE head to make this combo work?

Super interesting, is that 2jzgte valve covers on the ge head?

But which headgasket you use? 1jz hg or 2jz hg?

So what do we have here for margin of durability?

2.1jz sounds better and looks better then 1.2jz which sounds like a small liter engine
