I am 21 and have a full beard, the beard gives me respect no joke. People respect it and move out of the way when I am walking towards them. They leave the door open for me. They call me "sir" instead of "young man" and such. People just respect beards. I also do not get carded anywhere. When I shave it I do not get as much respect. There are only two kinds of people without beards, women and children.

My wife hated my facial hair and hated that I have a beard. She was constantly yelling at me to shave it off. Throwing out threats and ultimatums. So I finally gave in and compromised. She now has an 'EX' in front of wife now.

I used to work at Enterprise Rentacar, they have a mandatory rule that you have to shave.  One monday I showed up with some stubble and I got sent home to shave.  Needless to say I now work in the oilfield industry and have grown out a beard ever since I left that company.  But yes, beardsmen are more trustworthy.

Why do women like beards? Women are attracted to testosterone, beards and deep voices are signs of high testosterone. It's instinctive.

I have a lumberjack beard and it looks badass. Most men can't grow a full beard due to genetics and/or testosterone levels and they tend to grow in patchy depending on the person.

I won't grow a beard just because a woman likes it, my self expression doesn't rely on fads or needing desperately to belong, that doesn't mean I don't care about my appearance either.

i think the jaw line and how strong it's pronounced also counts with that, a strong jaw square carries a beard better then a round  jaw line

My wife is living proof of this study. I shaved my bread once and she did not ike it. She told me never to do that again. That was five years ago and, for the sake of the marriage, I never shaved off my bread again.

Does she speak for all women? Most girls I met says beards are ugly and from what I've read, science say's so aswell.

my beard turned 22 in January. Its not for fashion. It covers the scars from a crash. I think its really funny to watch a man pet himself while he grows for the winter.
