Can't forget the fact that Chris Jericho was in both games. That man is legendary!!!

It feels weird to see the WWE still trying to bury WCW, even all these years later! 🤣

WCW Vs NWO revenge started it all for me. I’ll never forget seeing Sting stare down the tractor trailer, and playing as Kidman doing his moonsault. I never got No Mercy, I got Wrestlemania 2000 and I loved it just as much.

Since they shared the same engine, etc. I spent hours creating EVERY WCW/nWo Revenge wrestler I wanted in WWF No Mercy. From the taunts, to entrance, their whole move sets and similar attire. I spent hours upon hours to perfect the CAW 😄😭

It's a very close call, but I have to go with Revenge strictly because of one wrestler. The legendary AKI Man

0:39 I started choking on my food when I saw Benoit’s face

I go with Revenge for 1 reason; it could actually handle 4 guys in the ring without it affecting the game play. For some reason, No Mercy did which was odd because Wrestlemania 2000 also didn't have that issue. No Mercy was great when it came to 1 on 1 but when you're on the N64 with more than 2 friends it really doesn't cut it.

0:40 Love how they censored all of the WWF logos but they didn't censor Chris Benoit's face on the bottom right of the character select screen...

Been dead for almost 22 years, but WCW continues to get buried. 🤣

Both are such incredible games from my childhood it really is hard to choose. Revenge also did come out two years earlier which has to be kept in consideration because you would expect the newer release to be a more polished and enhanced gaming experience.

The rosters capture both companies at their absolute peak during that era so that is a stalemate in my opinion. No Mercy had more match types as would be expected as well as a complete story mode, but what really puts it over the top is the Create-a-Wrestler feature which is hard to argue against.

However, I think that the improvements Revenge made over its predecessor - WCW vs nWo: World Tour - are more significant than the advances between WrestleMania 2000 and No Mercy. Usually in a long-running sports video game series, the overall changes between titles is pretty minimal. There are tweaks and refinements without drastic alterations. Although No Mercy was able to pretty much perfect everything about WrestleMania 2000, the differences between Revenge and World Tour were staggering. World Tour felt like a wrestling game with WCW wrestlers, but Revenge offered the total WCW experience and took a giant leap forward with all the improvements it made.

So many late nights with friends playing both. I appreciated the later Shut Your Mouth/Here Comes the Pain/Smackdown vs Raw era on PS2 as well, but these N64 games were truly the golden years.

I've had both WCW and WWF games. To this day, I still believe that No Mercy is the blueprint and standard for what a wrestling game should be. Incredible story mode. I still play this 🤘🤘

No mercy was the definitive THQ wrestling game for obvious reasons. I've had all four games ( World Tour, Revenge, WM 2000 and NM ) apart from Japanese counterparts ( Virtual Pro Wrestling ) which I did not know about them until years later. With that said what made me fall in love with VPW style games was Revenge. I do feel that without it, there wouldn't be no WWF game at all.

WCW/NWO World Tour was the groundwork for what eventually became No Mercy. The greatest era of wrestling games of all time. World Tour, Revenge, WrestleMania 2000 and finally No Mercy. No Mercy still to this day had the best multiplayer. The Ladder and Royal Rumble match mechanics were ahead of its time. Luckily for all of us AEW Fight Forever next year is the modern version of that era of games. Cannot wait to get my hands on it.

Easy decision...No Mercy because of the story mode.

I hope them having an episode acknowledging these games means they're going to put more effort into making the next game what fans want.

All of my buddies played Revenge non-stop during the N64 era. It was the multiplayer game we played the most next to GoldenEye. No Mercy came out late in the console’s lifespan and none of us really played it. I liked Revenge MUCH more as it had a more diverse and unique roster. No Mercy is more popular from a modern perspective. Overall, Revenge was King in my school and neighbourhood with people my age (born in the very late 70’s and early 80’s).

No Mercy was so legendary, AEW is modeling Fight Forever in its image. That’s how iconic it is

Why are they STILL blurring out the wwF logo ? It's from old archive footage !
