Jackie Gleason had friendships with some very powerful people in the government including several high ranking generals. And yes, shortly before he passed away he shared with several close friends the story that he had been given a tour of at least one classified location housing alien technology.

And was NO weirdo. He was one of the most successful and multi-talented actors in the entire history of television. That " fat guy " was a classic rags-to-riches story. He lived larger than life and brought laughter and enjoyment to millions. Modern performers can't even come close to his talents, style and class.
