Mark, I'll add a very big thumbs-up to you for the selections you choose and the knowledge you impart. I know some pretty deep-down details about certain models and therefore when someone is wrong or tries to BS their way through, I can immediately tell. I've never seen you do that. So, when I'm presented with a video about a guitar in which I know nothing (like this Gibson banner model) I have total trust that I'm learning absolute A++ information. PLEASE keep the same personal style because as your vids increase in popularity it's gonna be tempting to turn into a cocky "star." Also, good job to Jen for the production. She's obviously knowledgeable to understand the importance of good audio being part of a good video. Most vids have crap audio.

I also own a 1944 LG-2. Phat 5 piece neck no truss rod. Unbelievably well built. The ladies room pride in their work. It is a Absolute tone rocket!

Man, I love Mark so much. Honestly. You can see that he loves his job (no wonder!) and he loves talking about guitars, not to mention he's an amazing player:)

I've owned a '50s LG-2 and currently have a late (early '60s) LG-3. Lovely sound: clear,
dry, well balanced.

In 2012 they made a limited run replica of this... I picked one up, best guitar I've played.

Mark, these videos are great! It's like going to a class I actually really enjoy. Your knowledge is incredible, and passion contagious. Keep up the great work, and try to have a Tele on Tuesday!

Sounds like my ‘57 LG2. My favorite one though is my ‘62 LG2. One of the last ones. They went to the B-25 in mid ‘62. Very nice rundown of the LG series.

Another great job Mark. I'll second the comment from Anthony C below. Love the history lessons in the back room and then love to watch and listen to you play these treasures. And the audio and video is always excellent. Big fan of "Guitar of the Day". Keep em coming. How about another bass for us bass players sometime?

beautiful guitar, and one of my favourite RHCP songs ("Road trippin' with my two favourite allies; fully loaded, we got snacks and supplies")

man, you are killing it.

Just a request: I know it's totally off the wall, but how about featuring a particular artists tone. the instrument, of course, but how about the whole package? I know y'all have the vault of guitars and amps to do it.

and yes, acoustic 12 strings. old guilds.

Wow - thinking about the songs and history the guitar has known in its 72 years.

Hi Mark! Really enjoy Flat Top Friday!
It would be helpful to inform the viewers when you're in an alternate tuning.. You've got some serious chops brother! Keep it up!
