I left Pentax for the Fujifilm X-T1 as I had fallen in love with manual focus, and the X-T1 had great tools for helping with focusing. I loved that camera, amazing to use. Then I found the NX1 and went for that due to the video capabilities as well as great stills. But for stills I still prefer the X-T1. The X-T2 looks really great, would be awesome to play around with it to see how it is compared to the X-T1.

Fujifilm, you guys need to produce more X-T2. We are at 6 months now and there are nowhere to be found. Mine has been on order for more than 10 days with one of the biggest NY stores and still is backordered. At least, the combo with the grip is a good deal right now.

the new battery is TECHNICALLY NOT for "heat protection", rather the 126S battery has a diff discharge profile and less resistance which = LESS heat which = less voltage drop. PUSHING the XT2 hard in burst, will cause the XT2 to LOCKUP because the XT1 battery cannot handle the load

everything that was added is great...but as an OMD EM1 owner I have been waiting for Fuji
to add a fully articulating screen like on the mark 2 olympus as well as the gh series panasonic...and for heavens sakes...whats with not adding a touch screen....it can't be that
difficult to add....I use my touch screen so often on the Olympus and I thought for sure
Fuji would finally get
Great job in your explanation Billy

Hopefully, the tethering options may come to the X-Pro2 in the future via firmware update down the line?

Required SDXC for 4K video recording is U3 Class 10, not class 3.

Very nice camera! Does 4K finally too and does it well from what I've heard. But its 8bit so no support for HDR with wide colour from a P3 colour space. We'll have to wait for an X-T3 for that I suppose, or just maybe via a Kaizen firmware update...

A few questions about video on this camera:
1) Does film simulation apply?
2) How many custom function buttons are there for quick access to various features?
3) How clean is the ISO in 1080p and 4K mode?
4) Does it line skip for 1080p and 4K or is it a full line by line readout?
5) For hdmi-out, is there overlays so I can see my settings while recording when using an external recorder?
6) Are the audio pre-amps as clean as the Sony A7 series?

The new flash control in the camera.. you will still need the EF-X500 flash on camera to control any off camera remote flashes, correct?.. There's not built in wireless transceiver in the X-T2 that can control off camera flash, right?

Do you expect the same controls to be available when the X-Pro2 gets its firmware update soon to work with the EF-X500 (along with other noted improvements)?

Hope the XT-2 will have the graphite finish option?

How about a studio video (or a studio mode setting). An optical viewfinder emulator that hijacks the viewfinder or aperture to let in the most light for focus and composition under modelling lights. Something to make it more user friendly under changing light conditions.

Billy, about the Back-button focussing - does the X-T2 continue to focus (in Af-C) between shots without having to release the back-button? On my X-T1 I need to fully release the shutter button between shots even though I'm shooting in AF-C otherwise focus remains locked, which is a mess. Half-releasing the shutter button On my Nikon DSLR's I can keep the AF-ON button pressed and the camera will continue to focus between shots until I release AF-ON.

Nice video Billy. 2 important questions for you: In the Fuji X-Pro2 you have a new position on the shutter release button, this allows single shot AF to be locked whilst still shooting multiple frames without the camera re-focusing each time (a great feature), does the new Fuji X-T2 have this ability?? Also does the X-T2 track subjects in continuous AF with the electronic shutter??

Fantastic as always! Do know you, if the new Fuji Flash will help us to shoot in the dark like the dedicated flashes from Canon/Nikon ? Something like focus assist without the LED light?

As quoted by billy, the evf on the XT2 is 2 times brighter than the XT1. As an XT1 owner, what was the initial percentage brightness on the XT1 evf's and the current XT2, what can i expect from this improvement? Thanks

I've seen a lot of people talking about this, so if you guys could clarify it, it would be nice.

*Is HDMI and an external recorder required to use F-log?*

From everything I've read, there doesn't seem to be a problem but in B&H's video about the X-T2, Fuji representative said something that is creating a confusion among videographers.

My understanding is that F-log works independently of HDMI and external recorder, so you can simply have the X-T2 and the grip and record 30 min of 4K footage with F-log without issues. But it's better if this subject is clarified by Fujifilm.

billy, is there any chance that fuji can make a firmware update that gives you the option to use fewer AF points? for street and documentary, it takes too many clicks to move the AF point around. a 5x3 grid is all we need for quick compositions!

Fantastic camera congrats! mine is on pre-order. Now the only thing missing is a super telephoto prime lens how about a 400mm f4 FUJI? you already have the teleconverter. We can always hope :)

Shot against a greenscreen? Looks a little weird... Happy to see the X-T2 but the video itself is a little funky.
