Last ispection was in 1998. After that it was sitting in building for years. Last 2-3 years it has been sitting outdoors. Imported from Lithuania last year.

I had a car like this, I watch the video and it’s like I smell the interior and exhaust that you can’t confuse with anything else.

What an awesome Soviet mechanical beast.
My family used to own one of those back in Kiev, exact same model and even color. My grandpa bought it new in 1978, and my dad and uncle drove it until 1998 when they sold it (it still ran).
I wish I can someday come back and take one of those for a spin.

We bought such a car new in 1983. He served for 16 years. We sold it for 56, 000 km. It was in very nice condition. It was a very good and durable car. It is so warm in winter that we sat in it in T-shirts. We loved it very much.

There’s a very relaxing quality to these videos. I personally would love to see more older Audi’s but it’s all good. It’s a shame you didn’t drive this one on the back roads. The countryside of your region is so peaceful and serene. I love it.

I've always loved the 2140. Dad used to have and drive one as a daily until 2007, so I, being 94', learned to drive on it before it went for scrap. It felt like a race car back when I was 12 when I first started to drive it.

Это наверное самый целый кузов среди тех авто что к вам попадали. Сам иногда на родительском 2140 езжу, на свои года очень крутое авто.

this one actually seems to have held up pretty well. I'm surprised at how much of the electrical just works, and the engine was eager to start as well. nice job.

As a tradie, I always like these simple and DIY friendly cars. Always imagine putting roof ranks and tow ball on them.

This is the first time I have seen in such videos that someone cleans the engine compartment before starting work. Respect!

Nice old classic car.
I noticed that the engine looks very similar to a BMW M10 engine.

Beauty soviet😅

in fact, the UZAM 412 engine was very progressive and relevant at that time. An all-aluminum block, 1.5 liter volume produced 78 HP. And the fact that it started up without any problems after 20 years of inactivity and 45 years since its release only shows how good Soviet engineering was
