Menendez Questions Rex Tillerson at Confirmation Hearing

Senator Menendez told Rex Tillerson that "diplomacy is not the same as deal-making," questioned how Tillerson hasn't discussed Russia policy with President-elect Trump, and called Exxon the "in-house lobbyist for Russia" against sanctions. Tillerson said Exxon never lobbied against sanctions.

Mr. Tillerson, wish they showed him sweating. And yes, our government needs to work with American and other countries businesses. Tillerson wanted zippo in the past. He's going to weaken any sanction going forward. He's a realpolitik guy, not unlike Nixon era garbage I saw growing up. The guy is very smart, means well, and totally doesn't get it.
