Our world is a lot better place because of trees. They have given us food, raw materials and even shade from the elements for thousands of years. Without them, humanity would have probably been doomed. So, it makes sense why we need to care for them and plant more of them to offset the destruction that we are causing to the environment. But not all trees are created equally. Some are not meant to be messed with. If you get too close, you might just end up hurting yourself, or worse, dead. Here are 10 of the most dangerous trees that you should never touch.

There is a bit of misinformation here. Castor oil is not used to cook food. Before modern medicine, castor oil was used in very small doses to treat constipation, and in larger (but still small) doses to help induce labor in women that were past their due date. And in some parts of India it is still added to curry (most likely for the same laxative effect). But it is not used to cook food. It is not like other oils, which is suggested by the videos of food being fried with oil and by the narrator when describing castor oil being used to cook food. I hope nobody watches this video and gets the bright idea to cook their food in castor oil.

Castor oil trees actually grow wild here in The Bahamas 🇧🇸. It also has projectile seeds that are in a spike covers pod that turns black when ripe. I got hit by one seed that exploded from its pod and hit me in my back about 10ft away. It felt like I got stung by something. It's oil is used here and in the rest of the west indies as a hair growth aide. The tree is invasive and grows quickly.

Another terrifying thing about the Manchineel Tree (aka, the little apple of death) is that if you try to burn them to get rid of them, even the smoke is super toxic. These trees often have warning signs and cordons around them to keep people away they're so hazardous.
