I lost the love of my life 10 months ago, his life was taken and it haunts me every single day. I think about how it happened, when, if he was scared, could I have prevented it, etc. We both struggled with addiction and I wanted us to get sober together... it's been almost a year and hearing this song really makes me think of what addiction feels like when you want out. "You will not break me.. I'm still fighting for peace." One the darkest nights, I know I can't succumb to the pain. I will learn to live my life happier, healthier, and more purposeful in his honor. I pray for anyone fighting this disease, please be kind to yourselves. Forgive yourself and people who hurt you. Be brave and don't fear the unknown.
