We have stayed in both hotels. Preference is NoMad or Park due to non smoking plus our room in NoMad is very nice. We like Aria and Bellagio too so staying at the Park is very convenient due to location. We also eat and play at NYNY, there’s a shortcut from the Park, just cross a street from the side corridor of LaLa Noodle.(if I correctly remember).

Love NYNY I love the vibes when you walk at the alley. The rooms are nice and has that city feel. I will be going there in 3 weeks

NYNY to me only has 2 things over Park MGM, the casino and the ease of getting to the south properties + MGM grand.

But if you're going to consider that, Park MGM having the tram right next door to get as far as Bellagio is a huge steal, as well as the connection to Aria.

To me it boils down to 3 things:
Smoking v non-smoking
Asian dining vs non-Asian dining
Pool

I'm taking Park MGM everytime unless it's cheaper to stay at NYNY

I think Park MGM is a great place to stay. Great review on both. Thanks!

We love the NYNY and staying there again in 2025, but Park MGM is awesome. These both worked for us in tandem:

- From NYNY, we had access to MGM Grand via the upstairs pedestrian bridge through the Hershey Store. So we could also access stuff on that side of the street easily via monorail. I think there's a way to get to Excalibur on the one side through the hotel but we didn't figure it out, but tram access to Mandalay Bay. Then, next door was Park MGM. Tram access! So it's really an underrated location. You can get to a lot of things.

- We enjoyed Eataly SO much and it's right next door. We're gonna try to hit up more things in Eataly, try Best Friend, and hopefully do Primrose. My wife enjoyed Haus of Gaga so much. I feel like the layout there is incredibly intuitive and easy to follow. Stuff's kinda out there. NYNY, I felt like I discovered new stuff because I wasn't used to how it's laid out. The latter part of the trip, I was like "there's a food court?? How did I miss this??" The first time, we were trying to find the Shake Shack and didn't realize you had to go outside to access it. Which leads to next point:

- I think me and my wife barely scratched the surface for NYNY. I was so enamored with Greenberg's Deli (I had a brisket and pastrami on ciabatta with Gulden's mustard on it. EASILY one of my lifetime favorite sandwiches) that I ate there twice during our trip lol There's a LOT of places to eat at NYNY and want to take advantage of what's available there. So that should be exciting! We went to the Chocolate Bar, the Hershey Store, Mad Apple (awesome show. We were put in the front row and it was incredible)

- we arrived there Sunday night and it feels impressive coming in. My wife absolutely loved all of the attention to detail with the hotel. Even with the most miniscule things. There's a feeling when you walk in that's, like, I can't describe it really. It's almost, with the lights, walking into Times Square, but not really. It kinda captures that moment when you first come into the city somewhat, but on a small scale, if that makes sense. Plus, with hotels like NYNY and Park MGM, the crowd/vibe is great. It's just people enjoying themselves and they're friendly. Feels like more high end places people seem more stuck up.

- we stayed at the Mandalay Bay after 5 days at NYNY and what a difference!! I did like the NYNY pool, but...it's also not very deep on the "deep side" either. It doesn't feel like you can really spend a lot of time here. Now the Luxor pool, we had a blast there!! Mandalay Bay blew us away. The only thing we didn't like was our wave pool experience was pretty meh (the wave itself and getting whistled for almost everything we did in the pool, so we got out and went to the river). The lazy river is where it's at!!

Oh gosh, sorry I wrote a novel!!

Really nice overview of both, thanks! I like the vibrancy of the NYNY casino and prefer it to the Park MGM casino, but Eataly wins for food!

the free tram which connects Park MGM to Aria, Crystals Shops (Cosmo via a pedestrian bridge) and Bellagio makes it a better location IMO, both have access to the "park"

I like and play at both. For my June trip, my comps for NYNY and Park MGM were similar. I booked Park MGM over NYNY for the pools and the shower in the room. Will be my first time staying at Park, but I think I'm gonna like it.

I love Park MGM because it’s a non-smoking casino.

Stayed at both multiple times. Both have positive amenities. Parks pool area is much better than NYNY and you can easily get to Aria and Cosmopolitan but I prefer NYNY in general, layout of NY streets with restaurants, nineFine Irishman with its to die for read pudding is a must, also easy access to MGM Grand. Cons both casinos are at the south end of the strip and walking to where the main action is Bellagio, Venetian, Wynn, Palazzo, Paris etc. on a hot summer day can be grueling if you don’t wear the proper shoes and realize 5-6 blocks could take so long.
I have been there 40+ times and although Vegas has become more expensive, more homeless around the strip, more crime in and out of casinos has increased the main Vegas travel tips still apply.

I think I would stay at the one with smoking. Doesn't bother me not to smoke when I'm gambling. But need a cig before bed and I want a cig and coffee in the morning while I'm getting ready. I know bad habit. 😅. Thanks for sharing this and have a wonderful WinsDay. And thanks for your live streams when your on your vacation. ❤🍷🥰🍷❤

NYNY no question. Its my favorite property on the strip. Best food. Best casino. The rooms are always clean and nice. I love the pool it gets a bad rap. Its just a fun relaxing and not a party pool and I don't want that during the day. Its in a good location. Hands down the property has the best staff in every place. They always had the best shows as well. America cafe fultons fish fry and sirricos pizza are a must every trip.

Thanks, Melissa. Enjoyed your perspective but I’ll still keep my reservation and check into the Tropicana on April 6th! I’m sure I’ll get a better rate and service! lol

Stayed at both a couple times last year. Park mgm is better but I vape so it’s sucks u can’t do that inside. The rooms are nicer than nyny. And nyny can be confusing when trying to get to ur room. The layout takes u on many twists and turns. Also the park mgm tram takes u to aria or bellagio which is nice

Thank you Melissa and Enrique as always for the informative video! You can’t go wrong with either choice honestly since they are close together. New York New York has some good happy hour deals at Il Fornaio and Beer Haus. Too bad MyVegas got rid of the bogo coupon deal for Nine Fine Irishmen. Park MGM non-smoking makes it more appealing to me. They also have CVS next to it for buying necessities which is a plus. The Crack Shack at Park MGM is also a good place to eat.

I usually stay at Vdara and walk through all of City Center through out my stay… really love Greenbergs at NYNY, it is always lively and alot of fun.
I agree, not sure what Park MGM was trying to do with their room renovation, it is weird.
