I love how carfection have let it's presenters be themselves, knowing that it adds to the channel. Alex does a great job here, please don't change. More of this please.

I was guessing £2 million…£750k actually seems like good value.

YES YES YES THANK YOUUUU I can't get enough of the GTO 250 SWB.
I used to live near the area and I used to drive around for hours and sometimes id run into one of those beauties, then id proceed to lose my shit and after a while id have to pull over and collect my thoughts, I'm not ashamed to admit I cried tears of joy when I saw one of these masterpieces drift around a roundabout, hearing the colombo v12 rawr, it was overwhelming! I love these cars and part of why I love them is the freedom that comes along with them, sure they are expensive but nowhere near as expensive as the original ones. Also, the original ones carry so much history that you can afford to jeopardize that, I couldn't anyway, their history is too precious to me. The GTO recreation allows you to be in the position they new owners of SWBs where in period, you can drive it hard take it to historic races and no worry about driving a historic artefact, you can focus on creating new history with these timeless beauties, you can continue their legacy by driving them to their limits. A clean slate. At the same time, you're able to spec it any way you want and hopefully, you'll choose a historic Ferrari livery, maybe reinterpret it, you're freed from resale red over tan which somehow applies even to the classic Ferraris. This car embodies peak car design and aesthetic, peak car driving characteristics and engagement, peak racing with the incredible endurance races of its time, and above all freedom. Freedom from Ferrari snobs, freedom from the immense responsibility of preserving a historic artifact, freedom to create new history and that's why I love these cars and why my dream car isn't a Ferrari 250 SWB but a Ferrari 250 SWB built by GTO engineering (in the spec of chassis no. 2159 GT without the spotlight in case you were wondering).
I'm 19 years old and while I got my whole life ahead of me to put myself in a position to buy a GTO 250 SWB I'm honestly pessimistic as I don't know if cars like that will be available or even legal when that time comes. If you own one of these cars or any raw driver-oriented car whether it's a classic or not please, drive it, enjoy it and experience it as much as possible these cars were not built to be garage queens and a generation of future petrolheads might not be able to do what you have the opportunity to do in the future.
PS. I would call it a recreation rather than a resto-mod as they are all original or have period-correct mods, I think Alfaholics GTA R when i think resto-mod.

The reflection on his head at the beginning was just marvelous, it was like the end of a rainbow, kept me mesmerised for a bit . Beautiful.

I've seen these in person and the only real difference is, well, they look nicer than a real 250. It's like a Singer 911, only more true to the originals.

One of my favorite automotive presenters on YT. I’m happy to see him making films again.

Absolutely beautiful. As my first car was a 1930 Chevrolet, I totally love old cars. Each had their own character. You had to learn this by using them daily for years. I loved all 50 of them. As a poor youngster, I eventually managed to buy my first car with a loan at age ~20. I treasured each as if they were brand new and I felt like a millionaire. Obviously I had my unobtainable favourites but at the pinnacle those were the E-type, Miura and Dino. Fortunately my desire for collecting was satisfied with small die-cast toys. Love your channel from deep dark Africa.

Amazing car and very faithful to the original, but it’s their other car they’ve got in the pipeline that I’m really looking forward to seeing, the enhanced GTO Squalo restomod. Anything that blends classic car charm with modern technology gets the tip of the hat from me.

Watching this makes me feel modern cars have lost something that made driving special.

It would be nice to have a stable of these classic resto-mods like the Eagle E-Type, Singer Porsche, Cyan Volvo P1800, Bell Sport Ferrari 330 LMB, Aston Martin Works DB5, Alphaholics GTA-R 290 etc. etc. etc. !
