This is a good conversation. I own a firearm and there were times in my life where I think, is it just to carry a weapon even if it’s for self defense? does it mean I don’t trust God to protect me? But being a petite 5’3” woman I don’t really stand a chance against a lot of men. And like you said, this world is fallen and not everyone has good intentions.

As an adult female, if I were caring for children and someone broke in my home, I would become a mother bear in a heartbeat and turn the intruder into a greasy spot.

You are loving your neighbor when said evil person enters your space, to tread their evil on your family and yourself, when you defend them using whatever means to stop them… you are likewise loving your enemy by prohibiting them from continuing to expound on their evil inclinations, even to the extent of crushing them!

If I am persecuted for being a Christian I will not fight back. However if someone attacks me I will fight back. Is the criminals life worth more than my life? I have no problem with suffering for Jesus but if someone breaks into my home I have to assume evil intent and I won’t stop to ask questions. If someone is determined to do evil they might reap what they sow. That is a universal principle God put in place.

I just more recently started actually looking into the Bible and finding my way in Christ . I grew up Christian but never really got into it . I remember being young and being torn about war and self defense being a sin. The biggest thing I recently learned is that the translation of the commandments that says thou shall not kill. Is in reality thou shall not murder . That needs to be talked about more. ! God bless these videos

Thank God for you Jeff and your brother and sister here, well said. As Christians we must value our safety our lives and the well being of others from all the evil that preys amongst us. If you think about it, we needed God to save us from God and Jesus defended us. He took the wrath of God that we deserved. He suffered and died when we should have suffered forever, so if not for Jesus being our Mediator, our defender, we would have no protection from the wrath of God. Luke 11:21 Psalm 82:4

Amen brother! I just want “Christians” to be able to think critically again. Sometimes I think these people are just trolls.
