A lot of contractors around here won't even bid on a job if they can't buy supplies up front. Wood is going up so fast they will loose money.

I guarantee it is, because he's going to pay $425k for a house he could have had for $325k but he blew it over $12k in lumber. :D

We're contractors & we are not currently bidding remodels, additions or new construction because our distributors flat refuse to lock in prices & in many cases can't guarantee enough stock for us to preorder framing packages. In our area most materials are up to nearly double, more on some items.
