Siphon Uphill King Nebuchadnezzar II Stage 02

Stage 2. A second tank has been introduced into the Uphill part of the siphon tube. It is proposed to extract water from this tank which is being continuously being replenished from the siphon. Some but not all the water should be able to be extracted using a pump, with the energy supplied to lift the water to a height of the tank by the action of the siphon. Next will be to try to pump water from this tank...

This is a very interesting experiment - the net mass flow of the water is clearly downhill. However, the second container seems to be completely sealed, so it neither gains or loses water overall - the depth stays the same but it is very interesting that because the chamber is sealed to air, the air mass remains in it, controlling the pressure. So no mass of water is going uphill overall otherwise the boxes would be filling up, but the air chamber is really interesting regardless and obeys all the conventional laws of physics - just with two fluids, air and water. Finally if the second chamber had a single air leak - drill a hole in the top of it - the process would stop. Very interesting none the less!

Turn the middle upside down so the join pipe has liquid in then the two vessels will be linked and n then swap the buckets around it will pull uphill

Keep waiting boys, there's a reason there's no stage 3 video, and it's unfortunate that he's decided not to make a video to show that no matter how hard he tried it's impossible.

Reverse the flow then you can claim uphill pumping. Otherwise you just have a syphon.

I could see a scenario where you could remove small amounts of water and pressure intermittently as to not break the siphon vacuum.

Repeat your setup here from the lowest tank to the next highest tank on the stool and you will have a continuous non-stop loop :) Nice work!

Such a dumb fail. How do people not understand this? It's still going from the higher tank, to the lower tank.

So amazing, I just learned about this in my physics class! They need to update the science books! It is because siphoning uses the molecule chains in the water, it's not all about atmospheric pressure!
