Clash Detection Automation

Have you ever wondered how to streamline the process of creating clash tests and selection sets in Navisworks Manage using an Excel clash matrix? In this video, I show you how I created a script in Python that can automate the creation of clash tests and selection sets in Navisworks Manage based on an Excel clash matrix by just a few clicks. This script can save you a lot of time and effort by eliminating the manual steps involved in setting up the clash tests and selection sets.

But that's not all. I also show you how I created an add-in in C# that can import the clash results from Navisworks Manage as XML files and display them in Revit. This add-in can help you to better understand and resolve the clashes by creating 3D views, inserting balls with clash information, or using the inspect feature to view the clashes one by one.
