Thanks to Keeps for sponsoring this video!

With over 50,000 units sold annually in the US, the 2022 #AcuraRDX is now Acura's best-selling model and for good reason. When the new #RDX was introduced in 2019, it raised the bar in value, sportiness, design, and luxury. For 2022, the #RDXAspec returns with a new Advance package option, freshened styling on the outside, and new tech features that make this luxury SUV even more appealing. #Acura 's SH-AWD is now in its fourth generation and it remains one of the best AWD systems on the market.

Happy Monday everyone! Thank you again to Keeps for sponsoring this video, please be sure to visit the link www.keeps.com/redline so you can save up to 50% off your first order. For the refreshed RDX, Acura made small but effective changes this year and the next thing we'd like to see from Acura is a hotter RDX Type S model. It makes sense and we think that lovely 3.0L turbo V6 would fit nicely under the hood. Like this comment if you agree!

The MDX and RDX front ends do really look similar. Had it confused this past weekend at the dealership. Kudos to Honda Acura listening to their customers and joining the A Spec with the Advance features. Type S model will hopefully be next 🤞👀

It's a beast in the snow. I live next to a pretty steep hill. It was 2 in the morning and thought I would have some fun and try to drive up the hill in 8 inches of snow and oem all seasons, totally expecting it to not make it. And to my surprise it went right up the hill with no drama, when I've seen dozens of cars fail. It's like a damn snowcat

Watch this vehicle get a wait list when they give it the type s trim. It has the styling and tech, it just needs a competitive power train.

I'm still really impressed overall with the RDX but do think it's disappointing that it's still missing LED rear turn signals and LCD instrument cluster.

The RDX with its front to back SHAWD system is the champ in winter climates. I would take it all day long over any rear to front awd systems.

Have had our RDX A-Spec/Advance for two weeks. Absolutely love driving this car. Handles like a sports sedan. Excellent power train. Im actually liking the touch pad interface. No finger smudges to clean as I do on my 2021 RAM massive digital screen. Its my wife's car so I set it up for her and she is not much into playing with tech while driving. Love the analog/digital mix display land ambient lighting. Physical controls for HVAC....yea. The auto setting for seat heat and cool is a nice feature. Aligned pretty much with the Redline review, save for nitpicking the lack of touch screen and lack of full digital cluster.

Finally they put the advance options on the a-spec. If they haven’t already I hope they do the same for the tlx.

I’ve had my 22 RDX in this exact trim and color combo for 3 months now and I love it. One of the reasons I went with it was because they finally offered the a spec advance package. It’s a comfortable fun ride. I had a 21 TLX A spec SHAWD and I enjoy driving this much more. Now if they come out with a type s variant I’ll be getting that one next. 😅

Type S is not coming in this gen, they’ve said it a bunch of times. Still, the RDX is probably my favorite in the segment.

Excellent review. I drove the RDX's competitors and I've ordered an RDX with Aspec Advance trim.

The diamond pentagon grill actually looks cool when caked with salt, almost like it’s flying through hyperspace.

I love the analog brushed silver dials, a throwback to the RSX, much more than a screen that merely mimics an analog dial. Not sure why the obsession for a Type S given all the positive comments on acceleration and handling. But I would understand Acura coming out with an electrified version though.

I test drove the segment and chose the 22 A-Spec Advance RDX...I loved the more aggressive looks of it compared to the GV70, Lexus NX, and German rivals...plus the sporty performance was superior to the others. I bought this car in December, and I can say this is the best car I have ever owned...I can't wait for that eventual redesign with the type-S package...That'll definitely be my next car.

TIP: You don't need to hold the start button on the remote till it starts. You only need to hold it till the first amber LED blinks (about 3 secs). It will take it from there.

Just picked up my 22 Aspec Advanced in liquid carbon, and I absolutely love it. I don't know if I'm too old school, but I actually like most of the things that ppl complain about:

- I really appreciate the analog gauge, definitely feels more sporty and the HUD makes up the info of an analog gauge may lack
- Love how the steering wheel feels, thick, soft, flat bottom, very sporty looking...steering is just at the right balance between stiff and soft turning - my previous 19 CX-5 signature definitely had stiffer steering
- Ppl may judge the center console is messy/disorganized, but I actually LOVE all the buttons, and it's very intuitively placed: screen, temperature, gears. I live in Canada and winter temp can go down to -30/-40 degrees, and touch screen temperature settings would be horrifying!!! My iphone would die when I go snowboarding, just imagine how that gigantic trackpad would do in a cold car! Also, just rmb, more techy/electronic stuff mean more prone to breakdown overtime. My sister has a 2005 TL, and every single button on that car still works after 17 years. That TL just ages extremely well, I still really love the interior of that car, doesn't feel outdated at all.
- Driving on a round-about and on a ramp coming off a highway is AWESOME...I totally don't feel like the car is trying to throw me sideways, the SH-AWD is definitely so much more superior than the regular AWD (again I came off the 19 Mazda cx5 signature)
- The track pad is not that hard to use...I guess we are just too used to Apple's magic trackpad and laptop trackpad, but if you get over the trackpad concept, and knowing it's a "TOUCH"pad, it's not bad at all. Definitely more inspired by Japanese culture that's centered around character and scripts writing, and you can't scroll through the screen for Japanese character writing.

I own a 2011 RDX with SH-AWD and glad they added it back. Generation 2 of the RDX was not only boring but it was missing the better AWD system. I do wish they’d just go with a touch screen but the touch pad isn’t bad. I also wish they did offer a hybrid or electric version but guess we’ll see.
When the time comes to replace my RDX, it’s on my short list. I love the blue paint and red interior.

I don't like red gauges. Red is supposed to mean warning/trouble. Instead of red, everything should be green or blue. Those colors are also easier on the eyes and more relaxing.

Acura is a well-kept secret. Many people don't consider it to be a "true luxury brand" and give it the respect that it deserves - which is a good thing for the rest of us, because it helps keeps prices down way below Mercedes, BMW, and even Lexus models

I just re-watched the G70 2.5 review, and I was surprised how close the 0-60 was between these 2 given the G70 has more displacement and power.
