Epic Citadel Gameplay iPhone and iPad

@SlinkyStudio Indeed they are. I wouldn't have guessed in a million years that the 3gs and iPhone 4 could do that. I ran it on my new iPhone 4 at 960x480 and it was still silky smooth 60fps.... just amazing.

@Tomacimo That's in-fact, an assumption. an MMO is not limited by the platform it's on, but by the technology itself. Seeing the advances since the start of the Iphone, and the reliability and skill of Epic Games, it's an extremely likely possibility that this will be an MMO; As long as Epic Games is willing to support the service.

@MegaBender101 The game will be called 'Power Sword' once finally released. This is just showing of the technologies that will be used within the game and this is still a work in progress and im not joking this is graphics that are easily comparable to the PS3 and Xbox 360.

an mmo on the ipod of this scale would technically be impossible, they may add multiplayer features like duels via the new app game station they showed, the story game would be single player or small 2-4 co-op game type, i think they just wanted to show off the graphics as there was nothing else there really

@pahncrd I saw it coming. I have used a few game engines that never saw the light of day on the iPhone but could do not all but some graphical elements seen in the video (i'm talking first gen iPhone). I found out about the Unreal engine coming to the iPhone on Christmas Eve last year and was overjoyed with the news. I still think graphical these devices can be pushed even further especially where the Apple A4 is concerned.

@afas1976 Actually I have seen some demonstrations of such things happening with the Facetime camera. We ca also do augmented reality on all iPhone's.

@afas1976 Apple will probably give iPhone and iPad developers really great tools to do such things. I think Nintendo are really feeling the pinch from Apple in the portable gaming area and the PSP is practically dead. Lot of rumours that Apple will purchase Sony so not sure what to make of that.
