Jasper wildfire: Tourism in Rocky Mountains struggling at worst possible time

Warmer weather has led to new growth on the Jasper fire, which is now at 39,000 hectares.

With Jasper National Park being temporarily closed due to that raging wildfire, other communities in the Rocky Mountains are seeing a major downturn in tourism.

Heather Yourex-West looks at how business is slowing down at the worst possible time and the hopes of Jasper being able to bounce back from that devastating blaze.

Canada does a bad job at protecting its towns from forest fires.

I have read the comments about the pine beetles which is true but they've done their damages because it's just not cold enough to kill them over winter.
