Puig wasn't laughing because he couldn't understand Adrian Gonzales, he was laughing because Adrian is bilingual and fluent in English, so he could answer the reporter in English. Puig needs an interpreter, while Adrian doesn't, so Puig was amused that Adrian was wasting time speaking in Spanish, just for it to be translated back to English.

It baffles me how people can hate Puig. He's so likeable. He's just a big goofball.

Amazing. If you listen to Puig now, his English has improved SO much. Props to him for actually making an effort to learn English, I know I couldn't have learned a foreign language as quickly and as well as he has.

So Cuban Spanish is like the equivalent of Jamaican English then?

Thats exactly what makes it hard to learn, cause the backbone structure of english is Germanic, but the filling loan words are of latin, romance, and gaelic origin. The rules also are highly disorganized as opposed to the structure of romance languages.

Yo hablo español soy mexicano y le entendí perfectamente, i'm trying to learn english and too have differents accents for example the people from LA (chicanos) speaks different than the people in NY specificly the black people. I have a friend fromp Portland he's living in my born place and he don't speak spanish, so i learn from him and he learn spanish from me. Between A-Gon and Puig we can see good chemistry putting aside all the discussions about the languages...

Puig told Adrián: speak english!
Adrián: but he asked me in spanish!!

Once Adrián ends his participation he asks Puig to translate it onto english: come on! translate it!!

The guy asking them the question is from spanish speaking media, the advantage in the civilized world is for those who speak more than one language, Adrián is prolific in both.

Mandroid and Albert, I'm so glad you said that; I'm a professor of Spanish at a large university and could only understand "estamo haciendo un buen trabajo" and nothing else out of Puig's mouth.  Props to the interpreter!!!!
