I understand why you think an app would be better, but i'd wager they did the website so they wouldn't have to update it. apps constantly need updates to keep with modern phones changing all the time, but a website is made to work pretty much with any web browser (i know this isn't allways the case but its far more stable than an app would be). Case in point, the website for the movie Space Jam still works and it is 22 years old:

As someone who has played this game, DON'T PLAY THIS GAME!! The website is clunky, the puzzles aren't designed well, and there are many better home escape room games than this one, especially the EXIT and Locked! series.

Tom .... an internet program in the 80's is super duper high tech stuff. An app would ruin the theme. :P

Gotta disagree Tom. Just played through all of these and it is by far the worst escape room game I’ve played. Clunky site, spelling errors and one puzzle-breaking print error. Manufacturing issues on some bits, and none of the puzzles are clever. You don’t even need some of the items it gives you. I enjoyed laughing at how bad it was but that’s about it.

Got with Exit or Unlock, people. This is straight garbage. Thank god I found it unused at a thrift store for $4. Still feel ripped off though.

An app version would make me buy this in a heartbeat. Sadly I don't own a laptop, and it would cumbersome with a desktop.

This needs a Big Trouble in Little China (I've never seen the movie) or a TMNT: Shadows of the Past style game.

The only Pressman game that I have played and genuinely enjoyed is "X-Men: Under Siege".  I liked it enough that my wife, hunted it down, and got it for me for Christmas, last year.  However. it is extremely dated, but I thought it was really thematic for a mid 90's children's game.
