The most important thing you taught me in vibrato that I have never heard from another teacher is to not restrict vibrato on wrist or hand or finger only but to combine all of them to get the best result and most control Until now I mostly do wrist vibrato I guess but I am trying to add more hand to it especially at higher notes as you mentioned

I'm still practicing my sliding siren movements so it will be a while before I'm playing vibrato.
Things I've learnt to watch for as I practice:
Regularity - Irregular vibrato sounds a sick fly/mozzie 😄.
Correct direction - to produce vibrato you need to roll over your fingertip in the direction of the string. This shortens and lengthens the string.
Use a combination of arm, wrist and finger movements. This will vary with position on the fingerboard. Your finger always needs to stay flexible.

Thank you for the tips. Some tutorials are stressing the importance of bending the finger at the knuckle near the fingertip, and that is where the rolling happens, instead of rolling the finger side to side. What do you think about that? Are both acceptable and commonly used professionally?

Hi, please I need another video on how to apply the vibrato. I can't do the vibrato while running my major scales, but while playing other pieces like canon in D, czardas, bach concerto for two violin, I just can't apply vibrato or where vibrato should come in. It's really killing me there. Please another toturial on how to apply vibrato.
