We can apply for a new fastag only after deactivating the earlier fastag. Hence, we first will need to close the Paytm fastag before applying for a new fastag. If not, the vehicle number will show as inactive as it is already linked to the Paytm fastag.
This means that we will not have a fastag for the interim 2-3 weeks till the new fastag is received and activated, leading to problems for daily commuters on the sea link.
