Wedding at Kaloxylos village in Naxos 2020

The village of Kaloxilos in Naxos has 28 (I am the 29th..!) inhabitants most of them old.

It has been 10 years that no marriage has taken place.

I'm happy because now, that I live here, a wedding is happening!

It passes outside my front door!!!

The sound that is heard at the beginning of the video, is balothies (gunshots)

The bride's relatives shoot with shotguns, to express their joy!

The bride comes to the church accompanied by her relatives and two musicians with violin and lute, playing traditional music of Naxos...
