Let's Go Mow! Our new Papé Toolkit series ranks John Deere mowing machines against each other. Which is best for you? Watch these videos and find out. We'll rank traditional lawn tractors and zero turn lawn mowers against each other to find out which is best for cut quality, comfort, maneuverability, and more!

For our first episode in the series, Toolkit Expert Jason Hughes tests out the John Deere X350 outfitted with a 42 inch deck. Find out how fast you can mow an acre with the X350.

The mowing course outlined for this series is one-third of an acre. Each machine will be set at the same mowing height and will be timed for comparison. In this episode, Jason's T-shirt was chosen to represent his time in Charlie Company, 52nd Infantry Regiment, an anti-tank company.

Got one today, 2019 used only 119 hours, under two grand $. Condition could be easily mistaken for a new one after my detail cleanup. Really enjoyed putting around with it this afternoon. I was about to spend nearly $5000 on a new zero turn, but decided this at less than half the cost made more sense for about one acre to mow.

Im torn between a z330m and an x350. I mow a few lawns as a sidehustle and my old cub cadet isnt up to the task anymore, and its slow. I do have to mow a few hills and have no experience with a zero turn. Ive heard that hills can be troublesome and sometimes even dangerous. The hills are probably close to 15 degrees, if i were to guess, maybe even more. Zero turns seem neat, but would i be better off with the tried and true x350 or the zippy z330?

Hey mate. I’m getting an x350 this week but want to ask if I can upgrade the seat to an x380 seat due to back problems, is the seat much better?. The x350 is $8000 and the x380 is $12500 Australian so I can’t really just get an x380.

My X350 seems to cut unevenly on turns. Its worst when cutting or turning on a slope.

If you buy one of these, my mistake you will find out the ridiculous cost to repair the simplest part. Like the belt that turns the blades and the little cheap tensioner keeper made of plastic that breaks after a few hundred hours of use and then you have to buy the whole new panel were the screws attach and the shop time at $150 + per hour. You have to wait days or longer before they can get to it because their short staffed. Which always happens the day after the warranty expires. The Bluetooth is a major hassle as it always wants to connect to your truck near by. If you work on it you void the warranty.

So we said Fuxk it and made the repair with epoxy and bought the replacement belts at Napa Auto. Its also a major job to sharpen or replace the cutting blades, be sure to have no fuel in the tank before turning upside down to get at the blades. Our cost to repair was $30.00 vs their quote of $740.00

WTF! there's no suspension on these tractors! Why would you do a stupid cup test??? empty air out of tires on a old sears econo tractor and it will perform better. Talking about econo tractors....your test proves nothing from a cheap HD john deere to a high end dealer JD.
