The costumes make sense from a psychological perspective. She's breaking people down into archetypes with manipulation and the costumes enforce it. It's kinda like cult tactics, especially the one where she got the guy to useless sort christmas lights. Reconditioning a person by forcing them into routines, to manipulate their dopamine center is a very real and documented tactic for cults.

Interesting how the guy in the baby costume just didn't think to hit her with the mallet he just straight up obeyed her in exchange for pudding, guess she trained him well, which makes it even creepier, how bad is it that the guy just follows her after yelling at her, it's pretty chilling.

So in this universe, Doctor Harley is goofy and clown Harley is Hannibal Lector-serious. Interesting reversal.

Honestly after this episode I was expect Harley to have been the creator of The Joker rather than the other way around. Like the Joker is a scientist for Ace Chemicals and he admits to sabotaging a coworker on a project so he could get a promotion and that confession led him to the Playpen

I feel like what makes her so scary is the fact she is calm. No accent just says what she needs to say calmly

I have to admit this version of Harley scared me a lot. This is a new approach, and I quite like it. Showing she's a threat all by herself and not because of Joker

I rather liked this approach to Harley, though I’m a fan of the traditional one from the animated series, this was a fresh take that separated her from The Joker… while making her a threat all of her own.

This may not be the first time we've seen a radically different interpretation of Harley Quinn (see the Telltale Batman game series!), but I welcome any different interpretation if done well.

In Batman:CC, the intention was to invert Harleen Quinzel and Harley Quinn. Normally, Harleen is the serious psychiatrist while Harley Quinn is the fun-loving psychopath. But here, Harleen is a quirky psychiatrist while Harley Quinn is the sinister jester who uses her psychiatry skills for malicious purposes. And I think that's a really fresh take!

For people who are thinking "They finally remember Harley Quinn is a psychiatrist!", while this take certainly seems like it, I like to imagine that most versions had Harley Quinn as a sort of escape for Harleen to let loose when she really wanted. That said, Harley using psychology against people is a very interesting idea, and I'm really glad they went for this sort of sharp contrast. It does make me wonder how an actual Golden Age Harley Quinn would've been like, especially since Golden Age villains were meant to be far more one-dimensional than their modern day counterparts.

She’s so unsettling but I can’t look away.

She feels like a completely different villain.

The hammer with the “pudding” line wasn’t lost on me 😮

Well, this version of Harley is a whole new level of disturbing. And she took this into an alarming back alley turn.
But don’t get me wrong, I’m here for this new Harley!

Dang. So this is what Harley would be like if she wasn’t the DC Deadpool. I like it.

2:09 I love the easter egg of Poison Ivy's rare rose. Maybe it's hinting that she'll be in the next season 🤔

This Harley Quinn is really calm and calculating. She is giving her patients and clients a twisted therapy.

This is honestly an awesome remake of Harley Quin and I LOVE her. I know a lot of people hate the new Penguin for the gender swap but I kinda like the new fit because it is an interesting take on Oswald Cobblepot (AKA penguin) and could honestly just be told as another Penguin from a multi-verse plot if they really needed to explain their decision.

I WILL be honest. I ACTUALLY LIKE this take on Harley Quinn. She's so terrifying!

I could still reasonably believe this Harley becoming an antihero. She's very similar to Batman in taking on a crusade to punish the bad guy

I hope this show will make people more open to the idea of reinterpreting characters. You can make them very different as long as you flesh them out correctly.

To hear someone else say "puddin'" like that... Yikes.
Can you imagine what this Harley Quinn could do to the Joker from BTAS?
