Macau, often known as Macao, is a Chinese special administrative region (SAR) that works under the principle of "One Country, Two Systems." Macau's currency is the Macanese pataca.

On the western side of the Pearl River estuary, 60 kilometers (37 miles) west of Hong Kong, Macau is located on China's southern coast. The South China Sea surrounds it.

The People's Republic of China owns Hong Kong and Macau, both of which are sovereign territories. The two regions, however, have a considerable degree of autonomy as a result of the One Country, Two Systems policy, and hence are not considered part of mainland China.

Macau's economy is based on tourism, with much of it dedicated toward gambling, which was legalized in the 19th century and has since been the economy's core and a major source of revenue for the government.

It offers a fantastic nightlife and some of the world's top clubbing scenes. At some of the city's greatest bars, you can celebrate in style in expensive automobiles and limos.
