How to Put a Picture Up

My step by step DIY guide on how to put a picture up - both into brick and also plasterboard walls - including all the tools you need to get the job done.

Today's Tool Kit includes:

For putting pictures up on plasterboard walls:
- Hammer
- Pencil
- Tape Measure
- Picture hanging kit (if you need wire, hooks and eyelets) approx £6 B&Q/Homebase
- Picture Hooks (Qty 8) approx £2 B&Q/Homebase

For putting pictures up on brick/masonry walls:
- Masonry Nails 25mmx2.5mm; or
- Electric drill
- Drill bit - 5mm - 7mm
- Wall plugs to match above drill bit diameter
- Screws - preferably pan (flat) head wood screws as these stop the picture string or wire slipping off
- Hammer
- Screwdriver
- Tape Measure
- Dust pan

My hammer drill came in yesterday, I was so excited to start drilling (concrete in my case). Watching the video I realized I forgot to buy plugs and screws. lol. Wire finder has been a great help, I've found the weirdest constructions in this house. Mainly metal support beams or weird wiring.

Thanks for the video and the link to your gear it's Just what i needed as I'm looking for a decent electric wire finder. Is this particular Bosch one that you use? I had another Bosch detector and I didn't think it was much cop, maybe I did something wrong but it would go off all the time and say there was wiring all over the place.
I just want to say that i bought my Ryobi drills at your recommendation and I love them.
