I expected Powell to flip after Trump's lawyer said they planned to blame everything on her. Trump doesn't deserve loyalty. He is loyal only to himself. Five years probation is much better than five or more years in prison. I expect that after seeing the deal Powell got, many others will take a plea and testify against Trump and Rudy. I think those two defendants are the primary goal. I hope that she tells the entire truth, which should help to convict them.

Yes, Powell got a great deal. I think she has already given a great deal of evidence under oath to Fani Wilis and her team and that’s why she got a great deal. It may also be incentive for other defendants to plead guilty and get a great deal rather than 5 or 10 years in jail.
