China: Stop Forcing Tibetan Nomads Off Their Land

China's policy of settling all of 2.25 million Tibetan nomads is a death sentence to the nomadic way of life in Tibet, an intrinsic part of Tibetan culture. History has shown the tragic consequences to communities and traditional ways of life when people are forced off their lands. Stand with Tibetan nomads and tell China to stop forcing nomads off their land.

30 years ago, a couple of sheep and cows could make a nomads family decent life, but now ten times of that number of animals can not make the life better. Grassland is limited but living standard is unlimitedly growing.

They still live tribal way of life. How many tribes are there in tibet?

in 'developed' free world all we, who are only users of techniques, are illiterate, because things depends on programising at all. when to say nomads to be illiterate, i feel it is better to keep silence....they can 'read' from signs of Nature, can feel & be led by all signs of Nature, that is much more precious than reading books & writing thoughts....nomads have to remain nomads for the benefit of us all..OMPH

@grandtheftvideo - Even in a rich country like Switzerland the farmers are subidized, since we do not want to be depended on imxport and also keep the tradition.

BTW I wouldn't buy any other than Swiss products like Milk, cheese, eggs and meat and the standards are high.
Would like to buy contaminated milk or meat ?

What are there other solution left for these nomads? Hanging around in a Ghetto without income and drinking alcohol ?
Why should Tibetans aim the chinese or westerner ?

well.we have different definition of "human rights".i hold the belief that human rights should be universal while the path to pursuit it should depend on the currently situation and reality. The West already enjoy developed economical results while us, China which of course includes Tibet, is still fighting for basically economical human rights like food, house etc.
Most of us, younger generation of chinese people, are willingly to sacrifice us to defend our homeland and protect its unity
