G'day Legends,
I thought in my final days I would sit down and have a chat with you about how I see this conflict, and the ripple effects of how I believe This Israel - Gaza war has sped up with changing world order as we see it. It began with Ukraine and Russia but this has sped it up dramatically.

About the location: In 1965, an Israeli spy named Eli Cohen managed to infiltrate the highest levels of the Syrian government. He used the alias Kamel Amin Thaabet and quickly gained trust among Syria's political and military elite. Cohen provided valuable intelligence to Israel, including military plans and information on Soviet missiles in Syria.

His espionage was so successful that he was appointed as the Deputy Defense Minister of Syria. However, in 1965, he was caught by Syrian intelligence and sentenced to death. Eli Cohen's actions and intelligence gathering remain one of the most legendary espionage stories in history.

Why does it look like you’re going to film a 90s rap video?

There is massive division between the West and the West.

We certainly aren’t a monolith.

The hope and even belief that the West stood for democracy and for justice has slowly withered away as the reality has become ever clearer.

I mean, tactical victory and strategic defeat has pretty much defined Western military operations for the last sixty years, at least. Vietnam, the Balkans, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, all conflicts in which Western troops won almost all of the battles but lost the wars.

You have no idea how right you are, I lived in many countries, and am in Serbia rn and loving it, even tho i do feel the misstrust? of ppl at times. There were a lot of stories of them being pro Russian, talking to ppl let me tell you - no. Some are pro Russiam some pro Ukrainian and those are the loudest bit 95% feel for Ukraine BUT are so anti nato and west, feeling they screwed them one too man times, that theyll find any excuse to blame it on them. I lived in Armenia, Turkey, but also Iceland, Denmark, ive seen both
worlds. West was careless, nobody trusts US and Germany. We created the mess in Israel, UK, France etc why are we so surprised now. I doubt Palestinian ppl support Hamas but the alternative is terrible, they got nothing else, theyve been refugees for 80 years, hungry, forgotten, orgs like Hamas exploit that and Russia and Iran exploit orgs like Hamas.

I love the dark humor but the fear is that our government may bring us to that point

3:35, It's hard to understand how this is the case when I'm living in Sweden, our culture and country has been on a steady decline for a long time and it's been a constant invasion of muslims for over a decade. Sure some failures are on the native populations in countries like mine, but the biggest problem is the watering down of our own culture to make way for people that don't respect ours. What once made the west great, is now considered bad and not inclusive enough, being a patriot is being racist and standing up for yourself will end up getting you shot.

Google Britain, France and Finland or even better Britain France and Poland in WW2. these things have been happening since people are around and will be till we're still here. To say that this war is somehow special is childish and naive.

This 'West' vs. 'Everyone else' dichotomy is a fundamental category error. If anything is a basic polemic set, it is 'the few with control' over the 'many forced to live under their tyranny', and that divide does not follow political, religious, national, or ethnic borders. It is to be found at the intersection of all of them. The same cohort of people (solpsistic ambitious extrememists) will rise to the top, regardless of the system in question. Also, it is not 'Isreal' vs 'Palestine'; it is 'Abrahamic Fundamentalists' vs 'Everyone forced to live under their tyranny'. Hamas are Abrahamic Fundamentalists, and so are the Neo-Zionists. They are all fundamentally morally bankrupt. It is the same cohort of people leading both sides, i.e., Abrahamic Fundamentalists, who all purport to believe in different mortal interpretations of the same God's will. But if it is true that belief informs action, they evidently believe none of the fundamental tenets of the religions they claim to 'fight for'. They are fighting for themselves and fooling everyone else into their ludicrous narratives through public-relations sophistry.

You point to divided populations, countries looking different at the West, etc, but I think the geopolitic is really much simpler than that. All those things you mention are not new. The west has always been compromised in its positions on the Middle East, and there has always been criticism from within the west. Don't forget, the entier partition of Transjordan was by Western colonial powers. This is all nothing new.

I think what has really been the significant driver is simply the rise of China, it changes in domestic and regional policy objectives, which I think were driven by their economic and industrial growth over the last 40 years and what that has opened up in terms of filling the role of an alternative power left vacant since the full of the Soviet Union.
