I'm very much an introvert myself. It's encouraging to hear your story about growing past that. Not to change who you are as an introvert but just some tips on becoming more extroverted when necessary. Not just bullshit advice either but practical personal examples. You come across as so genuine to me. Keep up the good work!

I have to say you are really genuine and an awesome communicator! Your raw and honest feedback of your experiences is literally the most helpful and valuable content on YouTube for me. Your presentation of ideas is the best balance between organised information and unfiltered discussion. I just really want to complement you on how you talk from the heart. Because fuck, it helps so much, and it means a lot, from my heart. Working currently on my first game for 6 months now, trying to get the fucker done! You are inspiring me because I gave up at one point. Been distracted by a computer science degree, but finally getting to game specific electives which are making it kinda valuable. Just you articulating the shit going on in your life and in your past really gives me confidence and insight man, and is simply fucking inspiring as my dream job is to be an indie. So fuck yeah thanks so much Tim! :)

These tips are great and I thought I was a control freak but yeah preparation really helps not having some awkward moments when you talk to a client. It's so much better and yeah Tim Ruswick I think you have done an amazing job creating content and putting yourself out there and having followers even if you are an introvert! You are inspiring!

Regarding preparation prior to meetups, do you practice talking in front of a mirror? I'm not sure if that really help. Personally, I hate to do that. Maybe I'm so introverted that I even feel awkward having a formal meeting with myself. XD

The only preparations I've done so far is like what you said, prepare a set of questions or possible conversations and just play them in my head. I do not practice out loud. I don't think it helped me aced any interview but at least it helped me go through it.

Anyway, I'm just rambling. Just pouring my thoughts out.

Great video!

I've always identified as introverted, but gotten past it in different ways. When I was 16 I was in a job where I had to be on the phone to customers talking about car parts that I knew nothing about. That helped.
I also got into a band and loved performing so got through the fear on adrenaline. Eventually I'd done enough weird stuff on stage that the fear of other things just disappeared, though to this day I still get physically nervous about public speaking, even if I'm not logically nervous.
Exposure was the only thing that helped me really. Being prepared is just always great advice. By the time I ever had to get on camera to live stream I think I was over most of my shyness.

I'm an introvert and a few years ago I joined a team at work where we did daily video meetings. It was scary as heck the first times, but now I'm used to it and it has made me more confident.

Thanks awesome video I am happy on my own. I prefer sitting somewhere and read or making sketches. Usually people come to me to talk while i am making my sketches.

as a surprise, I'm an introvert too, I don't get too anxious anymore, but my brain will often go blank, although some people can talk a lot and really not say much, I'm not sure it's better. I found that when playing video or board games it comes more naturally.

This was probably a tough one to make. Thanks for doing it.

Tim, great stuff as always, a visual que or saying "so for tip 1)" would help identify where the tips specifically are, i feel like would be helpful.

I'm learning alot from your videos are truely inspiring marketing has kinda fun side too it althought while marketing I'm always worried I may lose my soul and I feel actualy some people may end up losing a bit of their natural humanity if they are always thinking in social situations how to market their stuff. Here is where i think the bad reputation of marking tends to comme from.

I use to have a lot of anxiety before I got a job as a cashier, then it became really easy. I think staying home alone and having no friends makes your brain not use to interacting with other people which creates anxiety in the unknown.
