Rapa Nui - Easter Island, Hiking the Eastern Peninsula of Poike!

Join us as we explore some of the main points of interest on the eastern Peninsula of Rapa Nui - Easter island. It is a five hour walk generally and visits some really out of the way places few tourists get to see. It has dropping cliffs, open grasslands, hidden caves and spectacular views. Everything one needs for a great day out.

We spent a week on Rapa Nui last February weeks before the Pandemic closed down our global adventures. We had wonderful local guides and learned a lot about the culture of the Rapa Nui peoples well as the history of the Moai.

Wow very nice shot of the Poike in your video, especially with the drone. I had the chance to go there in February 2009 on my last day on the island. It gets me very emotional when I see you and your friend walking there. For my part, I was alone back then and there was some horses and cows looking at me (who's that guy lol) just before the tree's stripe. I remember that nice feeling of being alone on earth and being very admirative. The mix of red, orange and yellowish sand is absolutely incredible with sun and the heat. Thanks for sharing this, I know that's a part of the island only a few people go.
