Afrikaans ontkennede vorm/ ontkenning (The negative form) | Afrikaans FAL explained in English.

Single buger: The "nie" comes after verb 1.
Ek swem- Ek swem nie.

Double burger: The first "nie" comes after verb 1, and the second "nie" after verb 2.
Ek kyk heeldag sokker - Ek kyk nie heeldag sokker nie.

If verb1 is followed by a pronoun or proper noun- the "nie" comes after it.
Ek sien hom - Ek sien hom nie.

Answer question in the negative:
Start with Nee, "nie" after verb 1 and "nie" after verb 2.

Command: Start with "Moenie" and "nie" at the end. (after verb 2)
Request: Start with "Moet asseblief nie" and "nie" at the end. (after verb 2)
