Sam, have you tried the Sephora single contour shade in "Tranquil"? I love it! I find it very pigmented and it looks just like a shadow on the skin. So cool toned and doesn't have the rosiness of NYXs taupe. I'm very fair but I think it would work for you too! The price is pretty decent too- less than $20 I think.

I highly recommend the KVD Shade+Light palette; I'm super fair skinned so I can only use the lightest shade which is perfect for my skin tone, but it's a cool toned brown which you seem to like, and the 2 deeper tones would totally work for you if you mixed them together to get a cool shade; the banana powder is also amazing! If anything you can go to Sephora and ask for them to do a contour makeover on you using the KVD palette so you can see how it works for your skin! Or use Ashlee's ;) hahaha

That sucks, I hope you were able to return it. I love the Smashbox contour palette! They have a deep version and if it is anything like the light to medium version, it may work for you. The light version is buidable so it isn't nearly as pigmented as it looks in the pan. Anyways, if you see it out you should swatch it lightly;)

How easy is it to return things to Sephora? I always get anxious when returning stuff because I think their gonna grill me but usually they don't at Wal Mart etc. Never returned anything to Sephora though. I imagine it being harder because it's makeup and it's used..
