Thanks to @argentomoto4628, a motorcycles dealership in the North of Italy, I managed to record an iconic Suzuki RG 500 Gamma doing a brief warm up. This bike was built as a real race replica of the the Suzuki RG500Γ, the bike that raced in the GP500 World Championship from 1981 and 1984. The road legal Gamma was sold for just two years between 1985 and 1987.

It was powered by a naturally aspirated, rotary-valve inducted, twin crank square four two-stroke engine displacing some 498 cc. Although it didn't reach the 130+ hp of the competition model, the road-going Gamma still reached the remarkable threshold of 95 hp at 9,500 rpm. Thanks to its featherweight of 156 kg, it was able to reach a speed of 240 km/h, covering 400 meters in 11.4 seconds.

Listen to this example from a 1987, restyling model starting and revving up its engine!

This video is only the first of a possible long collaboration with Moto Argento, from which I truly hope to produce and share with you pure sound videos of particular motorcycles that they have available. My intent would be to be able to bring home complete videos, with some accelerations on the road and a brief 'onboard' POV. Stay tuned!

You can find more info about Moto Argento and motorcycles for sale on their website!
