An author was saying that itd be a waste to pay all that money for an LLC until the business is proving its going somewhere.

great video. So...the names of the product does not equate to that being the business. Also the name of a website does not equate to it being a business. Unless the names of the products/website is used on invoicing, or to enforce contractual obligations then it would be a dba scenario for the llc?

How do you sign contracts with DBA as a sole proprietor? Do you always put your name first, then add dba name next?

Okay so if I fill out a W-9 as an online content creator and I put my real name on line 1...but I never disclose my real name to public who pay to subscribe to me... do I need a DBA? My social media handle for the paid subscription is something I just made up to be anonymous. IRS of course will be given my real name and ssn on the w-9. I’m just trying to figure out if I need a dba in a state where sole-proprietors are suppose to get one if you use a fictitious name and if i need to supply that on line 2 of the W-9.

Hi there! I have been looking all over the place trying to figure out the purpose of DBAs and whether I need one. I’m just a sole prop with a small ETSY shop that uses a name that is different from my legal name. So as long as my banking documents and whatnot are still using my own legal name, I don’t need to register my Etsy shop name as a DBA?

can you do a video on bookkeeping? ive looked at quick books but it didnt seem what I needed. I know I can do it in google sheets and its been the best way. I just would like a better way for taxes and all that. QB didnt seem to do what I wanted. I just want Item cost, Sold and profit. Id like to be track automatically because manilly takes forever. Maybe manually is the best way.

So, if I’m an independent insurance agent, and my website /business cards have a “business name” just for marketing and establishing some credibility, but I am doing all transactions in my own name, sign contracts, receive payments, as just my name, I don’t need a DBA? I can legally just use my “business name” as a cute little brand identity kind of thing?

I just filled out my EIN application and was asked on the application if for DBAs... is this a valid DBA if I place it on my EIN application along with my LLC name? Thanks and Great content!!
