You can use it for an inward swinging door, the other side of the hall pass is built for that

Uh... that curved indent on the side of the card is for the other side of the door.

I have two cats and a racoon and all three of them can now open a locked bedroom door with ease. They hang onto the door knob with both paws and jiggle it super fast and it eventually opens. This tells me that these types of locks (with the lock inside a door knob) can be opened without any tools at all. I still am unclear on how these unlock for them with the violent jiggling thing they do. It sometimes takes a while and it's noisy but they eventually open or I go in there and let them out or give them a treat or something

By going under the door trim you can open the bolt on an inward swinging door. The door trim is not normally nailed correctly.

I was wondering if you knew what the difference is between this and Sparrows Titanium TI card is. Or if there is a difference ?

Not sure if you meant just this technique, but the curve cut in the other side of the hall pass is for push doors. The seal around exterior doors and the flex of the card will normally let you get the card in and simply push away from you. A small thumb loop of paracord through the hole in the card can give a little extra purchase. While most homes have deadbolts, it lets you get past the knob lock after picking or bypassing the deadbolt much more quickly than picking a second lock. Industrial and commercial doors, being slave to Fire codes, are often surprisingly vulnerable to the pull technique with a simple thin string or wire, even with the latch guards in place.

My door has a square bolt with a flat face on both sides. I assume that picking or raking the lock is the only non destructive entry method, sans key.

Isn't that something a standard travelers hook would be used for?

I take it this is for locks without a dead latch only?

When would I find that kind of door where it's locked from the other side.

Can't imagine when or where that tool would be of value.

I would texture the hall pass to get a better grip on it.

What's the point of doing that when you can open the door on your side?

But in the video you do not need to jigger the door open - just open it: you are not locked in. So what's the point?

Travelers hook works better or for a more discreet wallet tool...mini jim is better, imo.

If I were standing at that door I'd just turn the handle being I'd be on the lock side of the door... 🤣😂🤣😂

Credit cards work good on push doors if your reaaly worried

In a tactical situation if the hinges were toward me i'd just take them off. This seems like more the sort of thing you'd use to get into a door when it's not a big deal.

These levers don't have dead latches, i.e passage or privacy "locks". This tool will not work on a "real" (office, classsroom, storeroom) lock with a working dead latch
