I have 2.10.30 version of GIMP and I tried installing the GMIC version 3.1.1 but I don't see the plugin in GIMP. Can you please help me with this? I have uninstalled the plugin several times. The plugin is actually in the gimp folder. When gimp is loading I can also see the plugin queuing as well. I tried adding the the plugin path via preference but it's not allowing me to add any folder

BINGO Baby! Thanks Mike. I had held back on using the latest version of GIMP as there were some G'MIC issues. Even better still, this auto installs unlike previous versions. Now time to get busy creating pictorial disasters ;-)

I have Gimp 2.8. I was watching your video about how to convert a picture to a cartoon and you mentioned G' Mic. Followed the instructions on this video. Did the full install as shown. Opened Gimp. Looked under filter. No G' Mic option. Is there a way I have to import it into Gimp?

Hi mike. Trying to colourise a photo. The original is 60 years old, not photo paper, it’s more like a fabric. I don’t know how to get rid of the lines. Any ideas. Many thanks

I had to install the new version of gimp for it to work (even though my gimp was recent enough already)
