I think the best way to use this tower is actually to combo multiple crosspaths at once, which is something you cannot do with ANY other tower in the game.
Using 240 darts very close to the track with 042 darts further away allows you to have longer ranged darts attacking at range with close range increased pierce to deal with the big groups.

Given the space needed for all the dart monkeys, i think generally most dart monkeys should take the extra range and also so you have so plasma monkeys able to take out DDTs
