Links to Amazon and Newegg are typically monetized on our channel (affiliate links) and may return a commission of sales to us from the retailer. This is unrelated to the product manufacturer. Any advertisements or sponsorships are disclosed within the video ("this video is brought to you by") and above the fold in the description. We do not ever produce paid content or "sponsored content" (meaning that the content is our idea and is not funded externally aside from whatever ad placement is in the beginning) and we do not ever charge manufacturers for coverage.

Thanks Steve, it looks late there. I appreciate you working hard to keep us informed as the stuff comes to you. Your CES content is by far some of the most complete and relevant to myself as a gamer, and your integrity and honesty put me at complete ease that you have no investment besides the raw geeky tech. Keep it up fella, you're pretty much the only channel worth watching.

Do any other tech review channels have this high of a like to dislike ratio? Thanks for such informative and high quality content all the time.

It very much matters for games. Sebastian Aaltonen aka Sebbbi, a senior graphic lead/engine designer who formerly worked at Ubisoft but quit to start his own company, has mentioned that alot of post processing doesn't need full 32 bit precision and could be rendering using 16 bit precision. Already there is a racing game Mantis Burn Racing on PS4 Pro that utilizes 16 bit precision help it achieve native 4K 60fps (not solid 60fps though). So obviously there is benefit in gaming and graphics rendering to use half precision.

I am honestly so DISAPPOINTED at CES 2017, no GTX 1080 ti and this is all we get from AMD, further terms without any context to performance games. I can't believe I saved up money for a GPU at this conference

One of the slides in one of the videos says it has 2.6x the performance over the previous FURY card. That should give us a general idea of performance and I am guessing this is for the high end model the RX 590.

So I estimate the die size to around 475mm2

You seem pretty certain that HB cache is something that is different from the memory itself and more like a traditional cache. Other outlets are saying it's just a new name for HBM2 on the chip.

This is my speculation: Vega will be released by the end of February, non-reference models will be available during March (high-end ones first), but GTX 1080ti will be silently released a week prior to vega/ RX500 series release. Top of the line vega card will be as fast as Titan X pascal and priced at about $700. Let's find out if I can tell the future.

looks to me like they pulled the main presentation and gave you an explanation of slides

Guys Vega will release after E3 2017 most likely. So people who are interested to upgrade should either just live on a iGPU or buy the nvidia 1070, 1080 or hold on to their old GPUs. Hope Vega and Zen are good :)

With regard to the crappy Vulkan and DX12 support so far, with a few exceptions and only one for Vulkan, it should be taken into account that there is large gap between the start of writing the code and the debute of the game. The production of games which are released now started often 3-4 years ago, as far as I understand. Odds are that a few years from now we'll see a lot of well implemented Vulkan and DX12 games, so far it mostly has been about patches and rewriting the code.

The fact that people are crying over NVIDIA not releasing any info on the 1080ti, which will probably retail for at least $800 (LMFAO)and still not max out games in 4k, is hilarious.

Floating point precision matters if you work with AutoCAD. So every engineer cares. They might game on the weekend.

cool i guess, still going to continue to support nvidia.
