Actually, this game was developed by Atlus, not Sega. Golden Axe Warrior was Sega's TLOZ, and Beyond Oasis was their LTTP.

It’s closest you’ll get for a Zelda clone in the Genesis/mega drive but it doesn’t play as refined as Zelda gameplay wise. The animal helper mechanics are a cool/fresh approach to combat. Music is one of the best in the Genesis has IMO. Some of the SFX are decent to terrible (ex: swinging your sword sounds like scratching)You can lose your way pretty easily too. All n all a very enjoyable game that few under my radar as a kid back in the day!
