4-Way Intercom Pairing

Sena 4-Way intercom pairing simply, and to the tune of a 70's sitcom. Bluetooth pairing made easy.

Here is how to do 4-Way Intercom Pairing:

Pairing:

1. Place A into Intercom Pairing Mode.
2. Place B into Intercom Pairing Mode.
3. A or B confirms the pairing and waits for A and B to connect to each other.
4. Place B into Intercom Pairing Mode.
5. Place C into Intercom Pairing Mode.
6. B or C confirms the pairing and waits for B and C to connect to each other.
7. Place C into Intercom Pairing Mode.
8. Place D into Intercom Pairing Mode.
9. C or D confirms the pairing and waits for C and D to connect to each other.

Connecting:

1. C and D are currently connected to each other so B needs to tap the Jog Dial once to connect to the last person it is paired with (which is C) to be able to talk to C and D.
2. B, C and D are currently connected to each other so A needs to tap the Jog Dial once to connect to the last person it is paired with (which is B) to be able to talk to B, C and D.

Only recently have I started pairing my 20s Evo with more than 1 other. For some reason with 3 riders it works great - but with 4 riders there always seems to be one rider that comes and goes. Sometimes the 4th works great....then can go away or at a minimum have very poor reception for the other 3. When in a group of 4 we have 2 riders with 20s Evo and 2 with older SMH10.

Yeah, except as everyone knows, the Senas pair up but then can never get the intercom working. You hear " intercom requested" which means someone is unable to communicate. An there is no solution. I expected that they would operate like an open channel that we could all join, like walkie talkies....instead its something like a bunch of bluetooth headsets pairing to each other indiviually and then refusing to connect in a conference. Frustration ensues and even if we manage to establish some sort of dysfunctional comm link, the rearmost rider will usually dissolve into static and total frustration.

Ok. Here is something for you sena.

This works go in on every unit. Delete all fried lists. That's what messed up our connection chain.

Connect pair a&b, pair b&c, pair c&d

Works..

But clear your friends lists in the app.

Please, please develop mesh software of all models. I know you want sell more expensive units but you will sell more units over all with this technology. Hardware is already there just write an update.

I have Sena 10S. My wife has SMH5 and she will sit behind me at my motorcycle. We and my two other Sena 10S friends can do a four way intercom?

4 of our friends have Sena 5s, but we just can connect 2 intercom at a time, please let me know how do I connect 4 intercom together

No intercom. No pairing. I bought 2 10S dual packs, both new. The documentation was in many languages, but not English. I got the devices to power on, and they receive static PERFECTLY. That's it. The web site was no help. I repeatedly tried to contact support. They are apparently unable to communicate in English. I tried emailing support. No response. I did reach them through social media. They referred me to their web site, and sent me documentation that has no bearing on the 10S. Supposedly, these come pre-paired. These did not. Even the radio won't turn on. These were purchased through different dealers on different dates. Among the items missing from the box are the adhesive pads and the wrench. The speakers will not stick to my helmets. Worse yet, the clips do not hold the units in place. Even when clipped into place, they fall out with a gentle shake of the helmet. This isn't just one. All 4 exhibit these issues. Wednesday will be 2 weeks I've been trying to get support from sena. I am forced to return these expensive paperweights.

Such a lame way to link all the devices....I can't wait to replace my 10-S with somebody who'll make a simpler device to use. This is idiotic!

This thing sucks !!! Don’t buy, customer service is unreachable and all the the apps you need too download, don’t work

Stupid design - cryptic instructions don’t explain enough - why not just make it simple and let them all communicate as a group without the pairing dance?
