Former chairman of Parliament's Foreign Affairs Defence Committee Michael Danby says it is “hard to see” international sanctions on Russia being “as effective as we thought”.

“The Russian ruble is up in value … with all the sanctions that have been put on them,” Mr Danby told Sky News Australia.

“However I think it’s preventing them from getting components for many of the Russian military equipment”.

The sanctions are hugely effective. We have skyrocketing energy costs, fertiliser and food shortages appearing around the world. If the purpose of the sanctions were to decimate Western economies then I call success!

Putin must be suffering without Disney, Netflix, McDonalds, Eurovision.
At least we pay higher petrol for his pain to make him feel better.

The sanctions have been hugely successful against the USA. Many countries are now dealing in Ruples for Russian oil, not US Dollars!

As a result of the imposed sanctions against Russia, inflation in the European Union has already become higher than in Russia.

According to Rosstat, in annual terms, inflation in Russia in May was 6.02%, and inflation in the Eurozone reached a record level of 8.1% in May in annual terms. According to the latest data from the European statistical office Eurostat, this is the highest figure since the introduction of the single European currency euro in 1999. Earlier, economists estimated the level of European inflation at 7.7%.

*Zelensky was chosen by US/ NATO to play this role, and they would have chosen a different clown if Zelensky hadn't complied.*

I’ve got a question. If you would please tell me what country you’re in and the price of fuel please. I’m in America - Dallas, Texas
Diesel - $4.99 USD
Regular - $4.69 USD

I know Brandon (biden) is full of $hit and we are getting screwed and he’s just blaming the war and COVID for all of the high prices of everything. If you know if a trustworthy website where I can see prices in other countries I thank you in advance.

Y’all be safe!

I hope that Russia will use those sanctions as an opportunity to finally start real economic reforms.

Europe will lose their economic potential and power as the sanctions continues of course to the benefit of energy exporting countries. The USA, Russia, Middle East and other energy exporting countries will benefit from the rise of energy prices while those heavily dependent on energy imports will suffer just like Europe unless they can get discounted energy prices from Russia or continuing access to the Middle East markets for supplies. All the Oil and Gas Oligarchs and Corporations will be richer whether they are in the USA, Russia, Middle East or elsewhere. The question is how much is enough before the sanctions and conflicts are stopped before it turns into WW3.

We have to hold accountable western countries who keep sending arms aid (debt) to Ukraine which makes the war longer, but forgets to provide diplomatic means for both sides for peace. Especially the cowardice of America to use Ukraine as a shield against Russia.
