Dr. Gharbo completed his specialty residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at a top program at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. He earned his medical degree at the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio which promotes a holistic approach to practicing medicine. Dr. Gharbo is board-certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

As a specialist in physiatry and neurorehabilitation, Dr. Gharbo focuses on maximizing mobility and function after neurologic and orthopedic injuries. He promotes a more mindful approach to chronic pain that requires a partnership utilizing recent electrophysiologic advancements.
