Why can’t you change slab rates in old regime??

Well, the change in tax structure will only benefit a small portion of salaried employee. The new tax regime also promote not to have any savings like what we have in Old regime. I don't see any benefit to the common man for having new tax regime. Better if our FM would have looked into Old tax regime and increased the tax slab there.
In short, Not up to mark budget for salaried class citizen.

How much inflation from 2014 to 2023,
If you pay the tax for hard earned money then you will know the pain,
Collect tax from common people and write off to corporates you know this thing only
