One of the things I've noticed most reviewers forget (and I do think they've forgotten) to say is you want the tempature to be 70F or above to set up your TuckTec. I also have scraped my hands and elbows on the sharper edges. As for customer service, it's not as good as he states. I had to go back and forth about an issue I had with mine and it took over a month to resolve. It WAS resolved and I was happy with the resolution but it took too long IMO. I'm guessing that, even without a lot of subscribers, TuckTec was quick to resolve his issues because he has a YouTube channel and they were conserned about bad press. That being said, the kayak is a great value for those who don't have the ability to just throw their kayak on top of their vehicle (yes I mean putting it on a roof rack..lol). The plastic used is tough and the draft is very shallow. I've been able to shimmy over thick and heavy grass mats with little trouble.

Mine had a mis-aligned interior latch. Tucktek had a new kayak on the way in a couple days. Have not had it out on the water yet as I recover from a back injury, can'[t way to try it out.

Im waiting on my replacement. I had the 8ft and the back clamp broke on me while i was at the lake. Luckily, i was shallow enough to get back to the bank. Ive only used it about 6 or 7 times. They also got back to me in 24 hours and sent a new model

Today I went kayaking. First time I saw a tuctek. This is an honest video review. It was a 2025 model. It already had the discoloration. I was surprised it was a 2025 as it looked flimsy and beat up. Probably not even a year old. She had the seat and then had another seat on it. We were in flat water. It seemed to track well but the bow went a little higher. But in some spots she struggled.

It is ok for very flat water for a quick kayak. After seeing it, I was not that impressed.

The MAJOR disadvantage to folding kayaks is safety. If water gets in or you capsize, it will sink. I do a lot of tours so I rent the boat. For personal kayaking I am looking at the Sea Eagle 300x.
