FULL 1 on 1 Basketball Scoring Workout

In this video, I take two of my clients, Chandler and Julius, through a full 1 on 1 competitive basketball workout. Both of these guys are not in the midst of a basketball season right now so this workout was targeted on a few main skills we are looking to improve. I have also been doing individual training sessions with both of these guys so it was good to put them against each other and see how they are looking with certain skills we have been training solo.

We started the full workout with a few simple versions of tag to get them warmed up and enjoying themselves, then got into a simple fade away/ balance shooting drill. From there we got into a few drills for them to work on getting to their spots and creating space to get their shot up. We ended with some basic contested drills to end the workout and allow them to get some shots up. You will also notice I added shooting throughout the workout to ensure they got plenty of shots up.

Overall this was a good workout for me as a basketball trainer to see where they are both at in live settings, how they handle themselves emotionally, and which skills need work and how I am going to attack it moving forward.

Coach how can i construct my workout to translate practice into games. Ps: if im practicing a in n out crossover to lay up, how many sets i should do and do i have to practice other moves in the same workout
