I think there are certain people who are blessed, and cursed, with an extraordinary gift, in which the gift is almost greater than the human being. And Prince was one of those people. It was almost as if his life and his own happiness were all subservient to this incredible gift that he was given. He paid a price for his career. He knew he had a tremendous effect on audiences and on people, but it was not something that he could always live with gracefully or happily. Even he couldn't explain what he did – it was all done by instinct; it was something embedded deep within him that can't be explained because it can't be fully understood.

Thanks for posting this throwback. One of the coolest things about this show (apart from the soundboard quality) is how awesome Bobby Z. sounds on acoustic drums. People don't give him enough credit because they're only familiar with him being the guy playing the cymbals while triggering the LM-1 (something Sheila did just as much during her years with Prince as well). This show offers proof that Bobby was more badass than many fans realize.
